You may want to bring that up to the director, that he will takebit apart. Does he have Dementia? Maybe he needs to be in Memory care.

Check out LED lamps at Walmart. They are all 1 piece with a plug, might take him a long time to disassemble and they are like 10 bucks, so cheaply replaced if he does get it apart.

Look on Amazon for a battery operated (cordless) bedside lamp. I don't know that there's such a thing as an indestructible lamp, unless you get him a camping light.
