Just got done reading the above post. Made a nice long reply. Went to post and I got "oops something went wrong". Guess after a few responses he/she left the group.
At the time, after re-reading the OP's post and their subsequent comments, it just seemed they were intentionally trying to create more negativity for others to read - and that serves no purpose.
I do care about people with serious mental illnesses and challenges by having close family members who are addicts. Additionally, they need to be protected by not using a public forum. (the patient's privacy, the patient's liability).
If they lack capacity to leave dangerous situations, go no contact with criminals and addicts, or are locked in a facility, I don't think this forum of caregivers can help them. Often, as in the poster removed, they continue on with other fake names and profiles.
But when the troll's goal is to lie, criticize, attack other caregivers, and to take down the forum, I appreciate the admins here when they close a thread, take it down, or ban the troll posters. And I appreciate that they do this without people needing to "report" a poster.
I think it was a woman, but doesn't matter, really. It was THE weirdest train of thinking I've encountered on this site--not helpful, just seriously annoying.
People used to just make 'obscene phone calls'. Now they have the unlimitless internet in which to be weird.
That level of anger and bitterness was over the top outrageous, imo. Frightening even, some of the things they were saying. Perhaps the mods thought the posts were inappropriate for our forum and removed IHateSnape's account entirely, I don't know. Or they asked for their account to be removed maybe. I actually hope that was a fake account because I wouldn't wish that mindset on any human being ever.
