DEADWOOD has been described as Shakespeare in the mud. Pretty apt description. He was a co creator of NYPD and wrote for Hill Street Blues.

He is a genius in all forms of this art.

My goodness.  I am familiar with those shows and upcoming movie. I'm sorry to hear the news. I did read that he intends to continue writing.   He seems to be positive about staying vital for as long as possible.
