Parkinson’s and blood pressure...

This week, I discovered that PD can make BP go all over the place. I’ve been concerned that DH’s BP is really low in the morning then can be high in the evening, then ok in the am and low in the afternoon. Turns out it’s the PD causing this fluctuation. His BP seems to respond to hydration (increase in blood volume?) so we’re starting the day with a big glass of water and really stressing hydration thru the day. It seems to get the BP to a safer level so he’s not so light headed. This is a quirky illness.

When I was worrying about my mother's low BP I finally realized that taking it constantly wasn't doing anything but stressing me out. Everybody's BP fluctuates throughout the day and it is long term trends that matter, why don't you try putting the cuff away and just checking once a week.
