I'm hiring an in-home caregiver and need information on liability.

I do not have a live-in caregiver just one who works 20 hours a week. I sought my insurance agent's advice about my liability if she is injured while working for us and he helped me to get workman's comp insurance for her. I feel much better having it. The premium is based on her annual salary.

I would like more info on this too! My Mom will be going home soon from an assisted living, I am nervous because she is in Ca and I am in Seattle. She hired two private caregivers.

Hi Chris,

Liability? Like if the caregiver slips in your home and hurts herself? Maybe you could share a little more about what your concerns are so people can get a better idea of what kind of liability you mean.
