Botox for Incontinence

Hi everyone! Today my mom had out patient surgery and really want to tell everyone with parents with incontinence problems the results. The procedure is kind of sort of new, but the doctor injects multiple low doses of botox into the lining of the bladder to stop the spasms which causes "accidents". It worked IMMEDIATELY. The procedure needs to be done every 6 months, but what a relief it was!! My mom is not complaining of any pain nor did the doctor think she would.

Before this procedure, my mom was so uncontrollable at the rate of wetting herself about every 6 minutes(at the worst).

All I keep thinking right now is "sweet blessed sleep" no changing sheets in the middle of the night tonight.

Such a huge step in our battle as caregivers!!!
