I am looking for physical therapy.

I have Parkinson's and need physical therapy for my back. I have spinal stenosis, and I want to have spinal surgery, but my insurance won't pay for the surgery until I have the therapy. I do not drive, so the treatment must be done at my home.

You need to start by working with an orthopedist who specializes in back issues. Don't do any PT without imaging. Physical therapy usually needs to be ordered by the physician or it won't be covered by Medicare or insurance. You want to have surgery but is this an option that an orthopedic surgeon has said may be appropriate for you, considering your PD? I wish you success in finding appropriate and effective treatment your back.

Your doctor is the source to get this started.

They will give you a referral. Be specific that you need in home PT.
