Does Medicare base their decisions on the amount of disability on my income alone or my son who helps pay for bills and my income together?

Are you trying to get Social Security Disability? If so, no your son's income will have nothing to do with it.

Medicare does not administer Disability payments. This is a question for your local Social Services department or Medicaid office, if you are in a state where Medicaid runs the Disability program
