Need recommendtions for transportation to drs appts

Many areas have Volunteer groups that will provide transportation. The one in the town where I am you have to "register" and if you need a ride they would like 24-48 hours notice.
Some areas that provide public transportation will do a pick-up with an accessible van or bus for doctor appointments and trips to the store. Again the ride has to be pre-arranged. This is often free or reduced fare for seniors and disabled.
Then there is the simple calling a cab.

You do not say if this is a "medical transport" where a wheelchair or possibly even a gurney is needed to transport the person. If a medi-van is needed there are plenty of companies that do that check with insurance company to see if it is a covered cost.

Also, check on Facebook. Recently I have seen two or three posts advertising Uber or Lyft-like services. And, check with local churches or senior centers as they often have volunteers who will provide rides.

How would you know if you are really getting an honest and law abiding person? I sure wouldn't try that.

Ask doctor's office they probably know of a service.

Contact Area Agency on Aging. Great resource, they know all!
