I have noticed a sudden change in my father-in-law's daytime sleeping?

For 2 weeks now, he has been sleeping pretty much the whole day, and from what I can tell, he's sleeping through the night too. Is this an indication of anything serious we should immediately see a doctor, or is this a common sign of aging. He's is 92.

I think you might want him to see a doctor before he sees the surgeon; there might be something going on that could impact the surgery.

Yes. He's due to have surgery next week, so we could have him see the surgeon.

He is very old, but the fact that the change was sudden makes me wonder if he might be battling an infection of some kind. Can you get him to the doctor?
