I'm sorry for your distress. It's really hard to see someone not be able to eat.

The suddenness of this is an issue, so you should check with the doctor. But when the human body shuts down because of impending death, there is no need for food. The bone cancer may be the last stage. I'm hoping you are having a doctor evaluate this.
Take care,
Carol

As I understand it, sleeping all day and not eating much can be a sign that the body is shutting down. Do you think that this person might be in end stage cancer?

Another possibility is an acute illness.

I think a doctor should be informed of the new symptoms, and the person should be seen. If the doctor finds it appropriate, a referral to hospice services may be very helpful.

Your profiles says you are caring for someone with cancer. Could you elaborate on the age of the person, extent of cancer, etc. Have you spoken with the doctor? A little more information would be helpful.
