My mom's hands never shook before going to the hospital for a lung infection.

She has COPD, enphysema and she had a lung tumor removed with no treatment. I NEED TO KNOW ARE ELDERLY MORE SUSCEPTIBLE TO PARKINSONS, and WHAT CAUSES IT?

THE DOCTORS SAY HER LUNG CANCER HAS RETURNED BUT WE OPTED FOR NO TREATMENT.

It could be medication. Shaking doesn't always mean Parkinson's, which afflicts even young people BTW. My hands shake but I inherited familial tremors many years ago. You'll have to ask the doctor on this. If she didn't have shaking going in then my guess would be after effects of whatever medicine she was given and it is strictly a guess. Please ask her doctor to put your mind at rest.
