I understand those days. Even though my Mom [98] doesn't communicate much anymore, when she does finally realize it is me she will give out a big smile and say my name. Made going to the nursing home well worth it. Usually I find Mom in a deep sleep or so restless that it exhausts me to a point of being unnerving. Just give me that smile :)
