Lipitor caused me joint and muscle pain for several years until I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and put on pain med's. Later on we moved to another city and upon advice of a new doctor, I discontinued the Lipitor and all of my pain went away within a couple of weeks. It has been several years now and NO pain so I will not take any statin drug again.

Please think twice about taking, or allowing your loved one to take, statin drugs. They are associated with diabetes and cognitive problems!! They now carry FDA warnings!! I am a victim of Lipitor myself: I tried it in a test dose and had to discontinue it because I became confused and disoriented.
