I need to check into this, for my huband has Alzheimers and flew in Vietnam..flew behind agent orange..he also was shot down but escaped. He has long term. Will long term help pay for this program? marymember

I am surprised that so much attention is given to ex-service personnel that is not made available to non-service people.

It is an anomaly of the US that ought to be fixed. The people that manufacture ships, planes, tanks, armaments and all the hundreds of thousand of pieces of equipment that maintain a service person in the field, whether in active theatres of war or not, make significant and essential contributions to the nations' security. They too deserve to have a VA looking after them.

I think this is an incredible option. The only problem, the VA/government running it. The red tape involved with VA is ludicrous on any level. Put this back in the hands of the people and now I think you have something!
