Bismarck North Dakota ? R U Crazy ? With the Baken Shale try and find a place to live in the Capitol City, or anyplace in North Dakota. For the elderly everyone should move to Mpls. St. Paul. Great Parks, subsidized rent for the aged as well as the handicapped. A good job Mkt. But most importantly the best medical facilities and assisted living spaces in the entire USA

Florida?! No way! Hot, humid, and the biggest bugs I've ever seen. Although I did enjoy St. Augustine. Also, no snow. :(

NYC is great - if you have a lovely rent controlled apartment which you inherited from your great great uncle who moved in there early last century. Don't these people think at all?

any city in utah can not be ranked for the elderly, especially the 80+ group. utah has one of the worst managed medicaid systems and the assisted living type facilities that accept it are few and far between that accept it. most of the 80+ group did not have the means or access to long term plans in the 40's, 50's. 60's and 70's (which are a scam if you are not careful but that is another issue). it is friendly if you have $$$$$ but not if you have to rely on outside assistance. it looks good on paper, try living it.
