My ex and I were both military retirees. He served 27 yrs and I served 22. We both continued to work for the federal government. We were married 37 years. After I suffered a breakdown we divorced. He canceled his SBP. Four years later he died of cancer. Military retirement told me I’m not elegible for anything. At one time if you were married for more than ten years you could get a portion of an ex spouses pension. But not military?
