Thank you for this information, I don't plan on getting on government funded health insurance anytime soon, however, I need to find a plan for my mother. She never really functioned well with technology and so I want to help her do some research so that we can find the best plan. I will keep in mind that her location is in another state from me as I look though. I don't want to find insurance rates here in Tennessee since she lives in New York.
There is not a specific annual enrollment period for medigap. You have this confused with a person's open enrollment which is based on their birthday and enrollment in part b. You can switch from one medigap policy to another at any time. No wonder seniors are confused after reading articles like this.
Why arent there sites on the web that compare companies online that sell the part F and other plans ? There are sites that compare The Advantage plans and part D But none that show the Meiga plans Why?? It would make it a lot easier for Seniors to make desisions.
