I had one kidney out 28 years ago and I have kept the other one well watered and fed it good food and it is still going ok, previous to that I went onto a regime , where I gave up smoking drinking red meat salt fat and sugar, I am now 84 ,so if yoou want to last a good while then be strong and do something about it, I did..

Turkey is now a super food, very little fat,[good] low in calories and high in all the good things , and it tastes very good as well. you can even make low cal turkey burger, Grill the turkey, add proactive butter, and lovely salads with a little tomato or hot sauce, and all very good for you.
