As for financial assistance, that's not an easy one to answer as the majority of grown children take care of their parents without any financial assistance.... unless the parent is able to pay the grown child from their own retirement fund.

If your mother isn't already on Medicaid, then I would suggest you find out if she is eligible. Medicaid has very good programs regarding health, and helping to pay for continuous care facilities.

Sounds like she needs to go on Medicaid and be placed in a facility. Check with your local Agency for Aging and also with Social Services and her doctor for their suggestions/resources. Many seniors do not want to leave their homes, but once they are not safe there, other options need to be looked at. Safety has to be a priority or her falls may bring more health issues. Good luck!
