I love my parents with all my heart. I caught the caregiver hiding in my daughters room going thru my daughters stuff. Clocking in on her phone and not showing up. My mom's a fall risk and they leave her alone in the shower. They stay in the house when my mom goes in ambulance by themselves. They don't speak English. They don't take her to her appointments The agency violated HIPPA

Report them to the firm from where they were hired. Fire them immediately. Hire someone new and utilize a contract for them to sign outlining their responsibilities. Put cameras in and outside of the home; let them know there are cameras for your parents protection as well as theirs.

Call the police and get a police report. This caregiver is casing the house. Is this a legit agency? I'm seeing so-called home care agencies popping up like rogue cancer cells run by people who do not speak English. Google them and see what the reviews are. Report them to the Department of Health of your findings along with the police report. You can also contact the Office of Inspector General and report fraud.

If you have the aide's name, call the Board of Nursing and report the aide.

Who is their healthcare proxy or MPOA? Is it you? If not, do they have someone assigned? If not, the court will eventually assign a 3rd party legal guardian for each of your parents. If no one goes to appointments with them, who is in charge of managing their care if they speak no English? Do they get an interpreter at the appointments when they are by themselves? Do you follow the ambulance to their appointments? If they go by themselves it's possible your parents signed a HIPAA form for this person at the clinic/ER. What do your parents tell you after they come back from these "appointments"? Or are they going to the ER for an emergency? Do one or both of them have cognitive impairment? More info would be helpful.

-Terminate that caregiver, contact agency and report the action. Fire agency if negligent.

They stay in the house when my mom goes in ambulance by themselves. - Is the ambulance a transportation service or a medical emergency ambulance. I don't know of any ambulance provider that allows a secondary rider unless it is a pediatric patient then the parent or guardian only is able to be in transport to ER. Liability issues prevail. It should be the healthcare proxy or MPOA that accompanies to ER. If used as transport to medical offices or clinics was it established in contract for these type of instances that the caregiver is to accompany and will be paid accordingly.

They don't speak English - Call agency and determine if they have another caregiver that would be able to communicate more efficiently with patient available. It is very difficult due to short staffing and you may need to deal with a language barrier if you continue to work with an agency.

They don't take her to her appointments The agency violated HIPPA - Is this service part of the contract? How was HIPPA violated?

Discuss with the Agency.
Change agencies.
Take evidence to your local sheriff or police department, or to APS to discuss your evidence.
This is second post on same subject (agency being abusive). It will help in future if you include complaints and problems of a similar nature in one post. Want to welcome you to the Forum.
We are all aware of the difficulties now in getting good help with care. It is a serious and ongoing problem. Want to wish you well.

She's fired. In fact the agency your mother got the caregivers from are fired as well. Do not use them again. I own a homecare business. Demand to see their state licensing as a homecare business and proof that they are insured. If they will not produce these things, you send the state police directly to their establishment and shut them down. Make sure the state Ombudsman's Office also knows about this agency.

Next you go to the local police and make a police report that your mother's homecare worker was casing your house by taking pictures of your daughter's things in her bedroom.

Then as PeggySue so rightly suggests here, give ICE a call. Not only give them the names (or whatever handle they use to work) but also directions to the agency they work for. Guaranteed the homecare "agency" they're working for have plenty more just like them.

Call the agency that sent them and tell them they are fired and give the reasons and proof. Are your parents on Medicaid?

It doesn't matter if the parents are on Medicaid. The caregiver is casing the OP's house. That is the only reason why she would be in the daughter's room taking pictures.
