Salmon, ravioli with pesto, home made latkes, string beans. Step daughter coming from Cali, 2.9 yo granddaughter stopping by while her mom sings in her chorus.

hmmm,
if i get energetic the next two days i might just make a few dozen ham bratwursts . kinda time consuming to make but awfully convenient for instant meals later on .

i stopped on the way home and got another .79 cent per pound ham . they'll get tired of this before i will . ( one per customer per visit )

Thanks MsMadge and Captain.
I have used non-toxic ways before, and they are effective over time.

I found this spelling for d-earth:
How does diatomaceous earth kill bugs? With the help of its razor-sharp particles! The diatoms that make up diatomaceous earth have microscopic razor-sharp edges. ... The sharp edges of the diatoms cut through the insect's waxy outer layer during contact, allowing moisture to escape from the insect's body.

Strange, but spell check is underlining that spelling also!

The ants are dead, with just a few stragglers scouting around. But I am not going to let my guard down now, rain through Christmas, won't stop until Hanukkah is over!

if i had ant problems id throw down diotomecious ( sp ) earth . its so harmless that its edible , yet destroys all insects with a waxy body surface . it clings to them and dehydrates them .

I have red chili 🌶 powder all over the bathroom to deter the ants during the rain

last storm, the floor was a blanket of ants 🐜 by the time I got home from work

I couldn’t vacuum them up fast enough

I'm thinking of swapping out the chili with borax - it kills them and some ant powders have borax in it

by default , my detective has inherited my holiday email to my son jake ,

eat a dkmas !

this detective has seen jake laid out on a stainless steel slab and he has personally assumed jakes voice and will see justice done .

the detective and i have became as close as his professional parameters will permit . without family input he has nothing but a strange body . ive made sure that he understands every one of the players to include jake .

Cap, how did your broom get up on the roof? Curious if a witch was involved and if perhaps you dropped a house on her.

The ants came in out of the rain the other day. I have been fighting ant wars. Today, opened a cupboard, and there was a new swarm.

So we ate out at a fast food place....Southwest Salad to go.

Need to go check if they got into the cocoa yet. Hot chocolate before bed.

Christmas is cancelled at my house. No expectations.

Mom had a proper dinner but I'm munching on the Christmas cheese ball stuffed into celery sticks and very cold key lime soda water while watching football. Thinking about a "desert" of the Christmas fudge with coffee, maybe a piece each of the peanut butter, butterscotch, and chocolate.

pamzimmrrt, my family loves banana bread but I've never made the chocolate chip variety. I have a few bananas left after baking banana bread for Mom's adult day care and I think I'm going to make some chocolate chip for tomorrow's Sunday dinner.

Well its not dinner, but I made 4 loaves of chocolate chip banana bread for the the Christmas meal at work, and the house ( read Hubs and neighbors.. LOL ) Hubs picked up a meal from the hot food counter at our local small IGA, and we are all sharing that for dinner.. they give you a ton. Mom wanted the scalloped potatoes and hubs and I will share the swiss steak and green beans. I am on "soft food" until my dental work on the 30th in an effort to keep my very very loose baby tooth in place until then. I still have to make the caramel Danish logs for holiday morning, and one for work.. but I am holding off until the morning of the 24th ( I have to work Christmas so we have moved everything up one day)
