The nursing home is NEVER in charge of med changes.

When one enters the hospice program, the hospice doctor is in charge of meds...in cooperation and consultation with the nurse(s) attending to the patient.

Well the nursing home gave mom the low dose morphine hospice started her on. Than shortly after another dose because she said it was as needed and my mother seemed agitated. She had an awful reaction and hallucinating. No one called me. I happened to come visit and asked why they had her on oxygen. I left for a couple hours and came back and they said she had a seizure a half hour before I got there. Again no one called me or hospice. I thought hospice would help with all this. The nursing home is making me crazy. I dont know what to do.
