My answer is funny! Maybe a little serious too. Hahaha

I want a cordless portable microphone so I don’t have to keep yelling for mom to hear me! Hahaha.

I want a tape recorder so when she says to me, “I didn’t say that!” Then I get to say to her, Oh, yes you did! Then I would play it back for her. Hahaha. It would also work when she says to me, “You didn’t tell me that!” I can say to her, Wait, let me let you hear the recording. Wouldn’t that be fun?

Back brace? Water? Okay. Put those elves to work making the brace. They can pick up water on the way to your house.

Geeez,

This is a better answer than mine! I feel like a dummy after reading these! 😆 haha

Wait a minute. Just read where you are a nurse. Ask Santa for two weeks! You deserve it. Plane ticket, hotel and food. Oh, and rental car. Or skip all that and do a fancy cruise.

I have never done a cruise. Maybe one day.

A cloning machine. I need seven copies of me. Three to work 8 hour shifts to provide 24/7 care for my mom, one to work my usual 55-75 hours a week at work, one to spend reading all the books I've purchased but don't have time to finish, one to make jewelry all day, one to do nothing but sleep, and then me to keep them all in line!

Texas,

Can you ask Santa to bring me one too? Oh, your answer is so much better than mine! Why did I not think of that? Haha

I love making jewelry too. Okay, our Santa list is getting longer!

My tuba. I’m presently playing on a very imperfect instrument and my mind is boggled by sizes and pitches and prices and uses for tubas.

Outside of love for my wonderful family, playing the tuba is the most important thing in my life, and I’m trying very hard not to make any mistakes with choosing.

When I’m playing I’m not thinking about the lovely toddler and the dear LO that I take care of or the burdensome behavior of the other POA to whom I’m shackled or physical issues that complicate my caregiving, or ANYTHING but my embouchure and fingers and my nasty little horn and how pleasant it will be to replace it with something better.

Good answer too. Why does he need additional space? Just him or with MIL too?

Housing is crazy expensive! I feel sorry for young people starting out now. Seems like it isn’t affordable for youth or established adults.

For me I would like the relationship that I once had with my brother, that of loving little sister, back again. To go from that to advisor and POA for financial and health is a whole lot of change. We are both reeling with adapting. So I will take a good dollop of the good old days with my plum pudding.

I want a secretary to schedule all of my mom’s home health people coming over. My home is a revolving door right now, OT, PT, nurses. It’s like Grand Central Station! I also have to coordinate around mom’s doctor appointments and my doctor appointments. Gets to be crazy!

I want ALL my kids & grandkids here together, safe healthy and happy and for my hair to have grown back (chemo baldness).

A clean bill of health after fighting cancer this year wouldn't go amiss.

What will I get?

SOME hair, and probably 3/5 of the kids. Travel at Christmas is impossible for my East Coasters.

And whatever candy Walgreens still has out at 9:45 on Christmas Eve. (DH is not a great shopper).

I would like a medical procedure to be just that. Not a root canal that becomes infected with massive pain and swelling-Me presently. A prostate procedure for my husband that turns into an epic event as blood clots block the urethra and have to be drawn out manually. A cut on the leg that turns into 4 days in the hospital and further treatment in the wound care center. There are more but these are the major lowlights of the past few months. When they told me if my throat started to close off I needed to get to the emergency room it all seemed very dire. I know there is much worst out there but I guess I needed a momentary pity party. Sometimes I wonder if we will make it to Christmas. I know stop with the pitying.

Minutes cards for my low tech, pocket size Trackfone!

Works wonders when I must gather up Mary - a neat ol' lady who browses every isle of Walmart, hobby shop, and grocery stores.
The closer to closing time, the more she likes to browse. So far she's not figured out to ignore her incoming call from me. Once she figures this out, I will need ideas on how to get her to checkout.

We so miss traveling that I would wish for my husband to regain his full mobility for long enough for us to take a wonderful trip for a month or so. We always talked about going cross country by train, stopping here and there, maybe renting a car in some places and going to national parks, hiking.
