My mother has a custom power wheelchair that Medicare and an Advantage plan paid for (purchased, not rented) almost two years ago. She doesn’t use it anymore. Are we free to sell DME purchased through Medicare? Seems odd to profit from it, but I also don’t think they want it back!

I believe that you can! Helpful idea---- I use a car wash self used power wash at a car wash to clean wheel chairs and dry them before I load them back up in the car! They work GREAT!

Yes you are free to sell it. List it on Nextdoor.com (my first choice since these are actual neigbhorhoods) or craigslist. First look on those forums to see if there are any others for sale. If so, this will give you an idea of its market value so you can price yours accordingly.

As long as they are not being rented, I think ur OK. Check with the supplier to make sure fully paid for. Maybe they will buy it back.
