My mother and I have been on poor terms since my mother left my house. She wanted me to pay her way and turn my life upside down for her and I said no to her demands.

After my father died, my sister and I paid for the plot but I only placed my name on the contract. I didn’t even realize a deed was involved, I’ve never purchased a Cemetary plot. I don’t want a problem with my narcissist mother and sister. At the same time, I don’t want my narcissist sister bad mouthing me to my mother. Accusing me of keep her off the deed. I keep going over and beyond and getting yelled at regardless. I designed the headstones for both my parents, they are of Islamic background and my sister wanted something grand, not traditional Islamic headstone. After all the labor it was criticism from both of them. This has caused me to pull myself back from even visiting the Cemetary. It’s been very painful for me.

—Should I ask the funeral home to add two names?

—Should I just leave my name?

The cemetary wouldn’t mail the deed to me, they said I have to pick it up in person. I’ve been so upset with my mother and sister that I haven’t gone to the Cemetary to even see the headstones in person.

thank you for your support.

You are talking about the deed to your Dads lot or Moms lot. With my Mom and Dad, they owned 4 lots, a deed for each plot. Moms plot has her name on it. I didn't find my Dads, my sisters or my Aunts so don't know where they went once they were buried.

Not sure why you would put two names on it. If the plot is for Mom, don't think it matters whose name is on the deed. This is a question for the cemetery. There maybe a fee for changing the deed.
