My Mom used them years ago but can't find the info now. Now she needs very expensive RX. Any information would be helpful. Checking on the internet it appears that there are too many scams so I am nervous to help. She is 89. Thanks.

Ask the MD for a cheaper generic drug. Some of the "Canadian" pharmacies are not even located in Canada. Too many counterfeits out there, don't take chances.

Right, understand that completely. There is no generic for this drug. My Mom wrote to Canada for many many years and got her RX's filled there for my Dad. However, she can't find the address anymore...among other things. Thanks.

Ask the pharmacist about generics. Aricept costs $840.55 for a 90 day supply. Donepezil costs $27.22 for a 90 day supply. Same ingredients, different name.

Namenda in generic form is memantine hcl which is cheaper.
Namzaric is simply a combination of Aricept and Namenda. Very expensive and probably cheaper if you simply buy two generics instead.
Ask your pharmacist. Pick his/her brain. They are up to date on options.

Thank you all for your comments. Her RX is for Restasis and currently there is no generic. They are working on one as the formulation patent ran out last year. But at this point, none. I have checked with multiple pharmacies and had to badger one to do a smaller monthly pack as they didn't want to break their larger packs...Thanks.

Really! Wow, that's great. Now I know what to ask for. It's a shame that I went to CVS, Rite-Aid and Walmart and not one of them told this was the generic for Restasis. Thank you again.

You are not too likely to go wrong if the internet pharmacy insists you have a prescription and does not just sell you anything you say you want. There is one called Blue Sky and another one or two I've had contact with. You do need to know generic names and be able to check the label when you get it; Google the company for reputation and clear information about products and no sales hype.
