I know it is tough when you are a caregiver and you yourself have a health crises. Medicare will help you with various drop in nurses and therapists, but not around the clock care. You might want to look into the cost of hiring caregivers from an agency to come help you.

I'm going to guess your husband is on social security disability and is below the age of 65? If so, you would have his monthly disability check and medicare coverage for his medical expenses. You may have been living on this, with no other income. Would that be your situation? Also, do you own the home? These things matter in terms of what options to look at.
