I have both Medicaid and Medicare. I have decided to see a primary care physican who accepts Medicare and not Medicaid. Will Medicaid provide transportation to the doctors office?

In NC, Medicaid has paid for all transportation that was not covered by Medicare. I'm not sure if it depends on the place you're going to or not. I'd check in advance with the Medicaid case worker and the transport company, before incurring the expense though. And, even if they don't in your state, the county normally has a program for transportation to medical appointments for those who qualify.

It does in Ohio. Maine has limited availability in certain locations. I don’t know about other places. Services vary from state to state.

No, Medicaid does not supply transportation. Call ur local Office of Aging and see if they provide transportation. Some have buses for seniors.
