My Daughter of 12 and my Husband and myself have Medicaid. I am afraid that they are going to lose their coverage due to the increase of income. I will receive $930.00 a month for my SSDI, and SSI Live in Ohio. Dawn
You should be sent info about changes but won't lose medicaid. If Social Security disability, then u may get Medicare with medicaid secondary. Just wait a week or so, you will get welcome letters. Being on SSI,SSD you will be able to get other help.
You will be on Medicare primarily, will have greater options for a medicare supplement plan and your daughter should also be collecting benefits. If your husband is not working, he should also get benefits if he is disabled.
While my nephew was applying for SSI and SSD he was allowed Medicaid, which paid his hospital, dental and eyes. When he was Ok'd for SSD, he received Medicare and medicaid handles his eyes, and dental and anything not covered by Medicare.
