Will care facilities accept only Social Security as payment?

No. Because it won’t cover the entire monthly cost. The maximum SS benefit for 2019 is $2861. It is highly unlike that you will find a care home that charges that little per month. You or whoever needs placement, can apply for long term care Medicaid.
