Sometimes it's all about trust. Do you have a good online reputation, like a review site where people can say good stuff about your care taking?

Smooth1234, have you developed a website where people who are looking for *private care* homes can find you? And is the website easy to find if someone was just starting to look, like certain key words will bring up your website first?

Have you checked with Case Managers in the hospitals that are closest to you to see if you could be placed on their list?..... you would probably need to meet certain criteria.

Getting the word out isn't all that easy, one has to become very creative.

Probably since most folks cannot afford it.

Frequent flier, good idea about contacting care managers. Specifically I think you should contact geriatric care managers in you area. Invite them to tea and a visit of your home so they can see the quality of the care you provide. Check out the website caremanager.org

Smooth1234, I think you are right that the cost is a big factor.

Jeannegibbs the I charge $3,000 a month for 24 hour care and a lot of consumers don't have that kind of money

That sounds reasonable, but I still could not afford it for my mother. Some people can, obviously -- your other beds are filled. Keep spreading the word and building a good reputation.
