Lemon, when the new and improved format takes place, I believe those older questions will still be on-line but we would no longer be able to answer.... thus you won't see these questions unless you do a search as Wally had mentioned.
As cwillie said, to get to the current answers in a very old post, you need to click on "LAST", do not click on the page number just in case there were over 1k answers to that one question.

There are posts that are 7 years old.
Aging Care CM had said that on the new, upcoming website, anything over 180 days old will be archived. That means over 180 days old without a recent post, I believe.
If an old post survives, the onus is on the last poster who did not check the dates and answered anyway. No worries.
People can identify today with what was happening five years ago.
