I contacted a Place for Mom and they were able to give me base prices so at least I had a ballpark of what pricing was. They I was able to work from there but I did have to contact each place and talk to someone.

Sell (no pun) you on picking their facility for you or your loved one.

Because there is no set price. In Moms AL there were different size rooms and apts. All different prices. Room and board are pretty much set but the care part isn't. There were 4 levels of care at Moms AL, Momcwas #4. She needed the most care and paid the higher cost. So for an Assisted Living or Memory care there is no set price. Now, a Longterm care facility can usually give a set price for a 2 bed occupancy. My Moms was $9300.

Are you talking about A Place For Mom? Or facilities? It's so that they can sell it to you because the prices are shocking and they have to talk you down when you realize how expensive it is. This is why they want you to come for in-person visits. You can just show up with no appointment and ask for a packet, which will have all the current prices, options and services, etc. Also because having to update their websites requires paying someone to do it.

I assume you mean by a facility? The facility needs to know information about the person needing care and specifics about what kind of care they need.
