Who can I contact to get advice and help when my brother, who is in a memory center, does not get his meds on time?

The facility does not order his meds on time and he has bad set backs. He has gone without prescribed meds for a week at a time! Not one time but at least 3 times in a six months period!!! Even after we met with the staff and thought the problem was taken care of it happened several other times. Thank you for your immediate response...this facility is located in the state of Georgia

I just checked and the state ombudsman is Becky Kurtz. She is in Atlanta and her phone no.is 888-456-5826. She probably has other people working under her for each county. Please let me know if you get help. Google ombudsman and it will tell you what they do.

Find out who your ombudsman is for your area. They are responsible for checking complaints on nursing homes. I just used one in Ala. They are very helpful. A different nursing home gave me the name of one to call in my county.

I think that you need to go over the nursing staff's heads and see what happens. If you get blown off, talk to an attorney and see what the attorney can do.
