Can anyone tell me which diapers (pull-up briefs) you find to be the most absorbent and where you buy them from?

 My mom wears the Depends fit flex to bed and even on times when she was sound asleep and urinated in bed the next day the sheets are dry and the Depends are pulled off and have absorbed everything. Maybe we've been lucky on that. Only a few times have the sheets gotten wet. We have zipped up mattress protector sheet then several layers of fitted sheets on the mattress and in between each we laid large disposable absorbent pads. So if there is a leak the mattress is safe and we only have to wash a few sheets. That only happens once or twice a year. I've found the Deepnds to be great also for comfort. Haven't tried the specialty ones though but if they're bulky I think my mom would tug at them and fuss with them minimizing their utility. She doesn't even notice the Depends aren't normal underwear.

A few times she saw me throwing the used one out and said hey don't throw out my underwear. I'll wash them :-)

I get Walmart own brand for my mom is hasn't complained about leaks from them.

Try Amazon or Costco for Depends brand both had the same price. Depends Fit Flex S/M size 84 count for $42.99 which comes out to about 50 cents each. They are amazing in terms of absorbency and no leakage regardless of whether it's been #1 or #2. I am truly shocked out how much volume they hold without leaking. Walmart had them for 60 cents each.

Does anyone know of similar products for less than 50 cents each? It would have to be significantly less to get me to switch as these work so well though for my mom.

On another note I recently found a great price on disposable latex gloves at topquality gloves.com $4.75 for 100 count of latex powder free gloves - basically about 9 cents a pair.

Yes, Depends are great and they feel almost like normal underwear. My mom doesn't complain at all. They are flexible. The Depends fit flex version or the Depends silhouette ones both worked equally well. I haven't tried other Depends types because these worked so great.

They were light as a feather before use. After even very large #1 urination events if you will they weighed so much it was absurd yet not a drop leaked or on her skirt. A real God send in my opinion.

Always Discreet are similar to Depends, the only issues I have with them are that they are scented and they don't easily tear down the side. Both are at the low end of the absorbency scale though, I've found that even the new Depends Overnight are no match for Tena products.
Unfortunately none of the brands commonly stocked in stores are as good as brands such as Abena, Prevail, Tranquility or Molicare which you have to get from specialty shops or online.

This is for a man: I've tried most of them and think that 'Abena Abri-Flex Pull-Ons' are the most absorbent. I get them on Amazon. My husband wears them overnight with a Depends Booster Pad in them also (which I get at the drugstore).
I use Depends during the day because they're cheaper but for the long hours of overnight, I use Abena.

Tranquility Premium - get them from Amazon. They are guaranteed to hold up to a quart and the liquid sorta turns to gel in the diaper. These are $54/case and have free shipping.

I use Abri-Flex XL (from Amazon) for my mother because these are allergy, irritation free and have incredible absorbancy; she has severe urinary incontinence due to vascular dementia and long-term effect of medications for a medical condition. The XL holds the largest urine of all Abri-Flex. I tried multiple brands before Abri-Flex. My mother can't tolerate a urine catheter. At night, I insert a Tranquility booster pad (also from Amazon) to catch that extra urination. You could try inserting a Tranquility booster pad into the existing diaper, seeing if this can help control leakage but the cost of the booster pad plus the existing diaper will be about the same as paying for Abri-Flex. Unfortunately there are a lot of flimsy diapers on the market.
