MIL Fixed income SSI. Husband was moved further away. Has no way to get there and barely has $$ by the next SSI check. She needs free transportation a few days a week. HELP.

And if they can't come up with any ideas, does your MIL belong to a church or similar community-oriented organisation? Perhaps they have volunteer services or something, and if MIL doesn't like to ask you could put in a call or two for her.
Check with the paratransit and find out if she can get a discount on the rates.
They can usually help out with the price if she has any disabilities.
Several times a week is difficult for volunteers doing free rides, probably need multiple resources, Catholic charities, jewish services, check ICS.
Is she getting part of dads ss so she can actually live? Being a community spouse she should not have had to spend down every penny to qualify for ALTCS.
I hope you find something, oh, does the facility have a transport van? Maybe they can take her home.

Also, in my area we have what is called Access Transportation. It is door to door transportation within a given radius and it doesn't have to be just for doctors appts. It is through the public transportation department, so I would go to your local transportation website and see if you can find their services for the elderly and disabled. It might cost just a few dollars per ride if anything. You might have to apply before you can use it. It's like dial-a-ride, but if you go through the application process, then you get preferential scheduling. It's worth looking in to! I'd love to know if you find something. Good luck!
Ask a friend or family member. If they belong to a church, the church may be able to help. It will be very hard to find actual free transportation unless you’ve got friends and family willing to drive her. If the bus is an option, she may qualify for a discounted monthly bus pass.
