Find Care & Housing
Suzie, many nursing homes offer training to be a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). You may also see training opportunities at community colleges. The Alzheimers Association also has classes available and certifications. That would be a very good place to start if you are interested in caring for those with dementia. The best home care agencies require their caregivers have a specific amount of training. Call and talk with a home care agency in your area. They may have something you could do now while you are being trained.

Sign up for training at your nearest facility. You must attend training, be fingerprinted, background checked and in many cases drug tested. Your local unemployment office also has information.
