Elder and Estate Law Attorney. You should see if there is a forum such as NextDoor in your area, that has neighbors. Often they have direct experience and going online in your own neighborhood, as well as taking care of business that way can be a great comfort and help in these times. It is crucial you begin now if there are changes you are noting, as at some point a parent with dementia is not able to do any DPOA paperwork or any wills or changes to wills. An attorney will examine an elder carefully to know if that person understands what they are signing and who they are assigning to act for them if they become incapacitated.

We are working on the special needs trust, it's not complete yet. I did ask my lawyer if they had an estate planner, but they do not n said as far as they know that we have all the papers in order, but I know there's more things that are needed then just paperwork
