When one is outside the open enrollment period, what 'special circumstances' allow one to be eligible to switch Part D coverage?

I screwed up and switched insurance plans one month prior to plunging into the 'donut hole.' Does anyone know what special circumstances might enable me to become eligible to switch insurance plans under part D?
