I have 3 other caregivers that help me, but if I get it they would not want to take care of her because she would have been exposed to me. There is no one else. This has been bothering me since the beginning of the pandemic. Any ideas?

That’s a difficult situation .
Just be care who you are with and hope for your own sake you don’t get it. Not everyone will get it.
Worst case scenario you would need paid help. Some one who’s qualified and tested for covid

Are you living the same place? And how much care does your Mother need?

If living together, unfortunately, if you catch it, the chance of Mother contracting it also is very high (although not 100%). You would need to have (or quickly order in) PPE, wear it at all times when with your Mother, cooking etc & keep as separate as possible. Any Carers coming need to be told & also be wearing full PPE. Hopefully your symptoms would stay mild 🤞. But - if you were to need medical treatment requiring transport to hospital, your Mother would need to be also transported into some sort of emergency care. This is my parents situation too & I have worried about this! I have asked them to plan... alas... I believe EMS would need to take you both - but I don't actually know!!

Others have asked this question but I never saw any solid answer.

Someone must have had this very experience & hopefully has recovered & can write in.

There are no solid answers to anything covid. Still so much to learn about it.

Unfortunately this is the reason so many caregivers feel the need to impose such strict levels of self isolation, if community spread is high in your area that is probably the best plan🙁
