You can try selling it on Craig's List. List it on FB. Many communities have a "Buy Nothing" group. You can also contact the company they may come and remove it and take it back. They can resell it so they may remove it for m minimal cost (or can I even use the free word?)
I second the idea of either selling or giving it away if possible. I like using Nextdoor for this kind of thing.
An acquaintance of mine who is handy installs stairlifts for free as part of local service organization (Knights of Columbus). Hopefully there might be something similar going on in your area.
Aren't they custom made foe the stairways? You are selling this home, speak to the agent if this is considered as handicap accessible and leave it in place
At estate sales, these stair lifts are dismantled and sold for $800. Most people buying the home would not want it......sell it on the secondary market.
Look for an organization in your community that collects and supplies medical equipment for free. We have one where I live. They accept it as a donation, clean and refurbish, and maintain a warehouse where it stays until there's a call for it.
