Hello again. I just got out of the hospital. They said my blood sugar was always over 350 and once it was 512. They said I now have type 2 diabetes. I got discharged back to the nursing home I live in and I ate breakfast and they refuse to take my blood sugar. I can tell it's high and probably need insulin. What do I do? Do I call the department of health or the police? I just don't know why this nursing home refuses to do anything for me. It's called the brickyard and located in Merrillville, Indiana. Thanks for any input.
If this doesn't work then make a call to APS and tell them your concerns as a newly diagnosed Type 2 Diabetic who has returned to your care facility apparently without orders to check your sugars.
You seem pretty with it. Why are you in a nursing home?
Contact the Ombudsman. There should be a phone number for the Ombudsman posted in the building.
I do like the suggestion that since you are of sound mind, you can call 911 on your own.
