Definitely call Dr. or Pharmacy for alternative meds. But as to crushing pills, that was the only way we could get Luz to take hers. As I have said before, hers had to be crushed into dust since she would find the small chunks of the pill and spit it out when the nurse left. I mixed the dust with ice cream or pudding. Worked great. And I can tell you that she would have stopped taking them that way if the food did not taste right.
