Adult Protective has taken her and I don't know where she is. They won't return any of my calls.

Keep calm.

Your mother was removed from your home and taken to a women's shelter three days ago, is that correct?

Who are ADP? Are they the adult protection services in your area?

They won't tell you where your mother is for now, because their priority is to ensure that she is safe and then to investigate whatever problems have been reported.

They won't return - or anyway haven't yet returned - your calls partly because they are extremely short of time, and possibly too because they cannot share information at this point.

Could you tell us more about the reasons for your mother's removal? Has someone outside your household reported abuse or neglect?

The best thing you can possibly do is take deep breaths and keep calm until there is more clarity about what has taken place. If you don't have and can't afford legal advice, then look on line for pro bono or citizens' advice centres in your area.
