What legally should we do when my Mom moves in with me and my husband?

We want to use some of her money to make our bathroom better for her. We need to put carpet down can we use her money. she doesn't have much savings left she still receives her Social Security check what can we use.

Depends in what area the carpet is going go in? Use it to fix safety concerns for her but honestly you will need it later probably to pay for more help. Sitters and extra day help runs into a lot of money quick.

Mom should be paying you for room and board and possibly for care. Is she? Could you use some of that money?
