You would need to check with your Mom's case manager at the rehab center to see what Medicare would pay or what they will not.

After my Mom had physical therapy care for 20 some days living in a rehab facility, and she wasn't progressing, Medicare wouldn't pay for any thing else. Mom was placed into the long-term-care side of the rehab center and my Dad paid out of pocket, which was $15k per month.

Now, once my Mom went onto Hospice, Medicare came in and paid for the items that she needed, such as depend type garments, special bed, etc. but Dad still needed to pay out of pocket for room/board/nursing at the facility.
