My dad is at home with 24/7 care through an agency since he took a fall in August. It is extremely pricey. About the same as a nursing home per month. He is running out of money and we would like to keep him at home as long as possible. Does anyone know what is a reasonable rate to offer an at home live in privately per week/month?

Find Care & Housing
I had 24/7 for my husband, it ran me 11K per month and that was 12 years ago, I have no clue what would cost today! I think it depends on the area too.

If I had to do it over I would have placed him a lot sooner, taking care of him took me to my knees, we were both miserable and it cost us less.

It will probably be cheaper to place him in long term care. You will need more than one caregiver. You can’t have a 24/7 7 day a week caregiver, the caregiver will need Regular time off. Live in caregivers in your state are entitled to time off and overtime. You are required to keep payroll
records (including witholding
of taxes and FICA) so you will have to do that yourself or hire a payroll company.
