hello again this is Sandy22 again got another ? Hospice was here today was told yes she is serious congestioned treating this as if pneumia exact words was DONT FEEL SHE IS ACTIVELY DYING YET BUT POSSIBLY COULD MAKE A REAL DOWNFALL IN HER HEALTH ALSO IM sure some of you no that Hospice measures their arm Moms has been 20 or 20 something for a long time it is now 19 so my question is what exactly does actively dying mean? thanks appreciate feedback

all our angels done was flit around outdoors helping themselves to the humming bird feeders. prob'ly low paid temps, cant really blame em.

active dying is the death process beginning and not reversible. organs failing, toxins building in bloodstream, possibly kidneys shutting down. eating and drinking will cease, no food being processed, forcefeeding is detrimental. nutrition, hydration prolongs life / death, shouldnt be done. starvation / dehydration is expected , produces a mental euphoria making starve / dehydrate two of the most gentle ways to pass. phneumonia is believe it or not a trauma free death.

Actively dying usually means the patient is within 72 hrs (3 days) of passing on. Keep her comfortable, give morphine to ease the labored breathing and allow her to sleep. Loss of arm circumference indicates fluids are leaving the extremities. Skin becomes cool, heart rate drops, urine darkens. Call in your angels and ask for their guidance.
