My mother is in Assisted Living and has qualified for Medicaid

Probably something toward the AL costs ... that varies by state.

Also, if Mother needs them, Medicaid usually covers incontinence supplies, drug co-pays, eyeglasses, hearing aids, and some medical equipment not covered by Medicare. Often the co-pay on something Medicare covers in part.

Most likely your Mother will be assigned a Medicaid case worker who will meet with her (be there!) quarterly or every 6 months and go over her budget.

If Mother needs a higher level of care in the future, Medicaid will cover a nursing home (that accepts Medicaid.)

I am sorry that your mother needs Medicaid, but very glad she has qualified for it.

You would need to check with the State Medicaid office where your Mom's lives.... each State has their own programs and what they would pay for.
